The ambulance was in an 80's movie Iron Eagle or a sequel to it. This is a real rare ambulance with less then 10 flat backs known in existence as of now. This one I believe to be first production with Louvers and drain holes because of pipes in between inner roof and outer. The only real problem with this ambulance is the roof needs to be replaced. I will be including one extra front fender, an extra bumperete, a brand new fuel tank, 230 ci Dodge engine and tranny, partial rear step, extra set of gauges that are on a partial dash, extra drive shafts, and 2 spare frames one with axles. One frame is a wc 18 and other is unknown. The frame number on ambulance is 8663027 and the delivery is the 12th of March 1941
I am asking 3500 for this ambulance. PM me for pictures
The location is Central California

It really isn't in as bad of shape as it appears. The paint is movie studio water base and will come off easily. the metal is really good on the outside and the inner roof. all it needs is a new sheet of metal made for the roof. I have more parts not shown in the pictures stored with my other one.

What's with the roof, did they make a platform up there?
Any shots of the other side?
Heck we were in Hollister last weekend, we could have taken a look see....= (

It was a radio van for the movie. Where the fan goes they had an antenna coming out. You see the remainder of the wire in one picture. I don't know why they did that to the roof and even though i didn't own it when they did it I still want to find the guy and beat the crap out of him. MoparNorm whos Wc9 flat back is that in your gallery that is the only first production that i know of. Without the roof I can't prove this one is but I highly suspect it.

Well, it has the ebay logo on it, so I can't remember if I "borrowed" it, or if it was sent to me by the seller....

I like to borrow too. i just loaded two more images but for some reason I don't have a side shot of the other side in full. The passenger running board is bent as you see and they patched a small hole in the door with a plate but the hole is so small it can be easily patched in a few seconds with a welder.

We are just up the road in Paso Robles. The picture is of our trucks up at Hollister at the Dodge Power Wagon Rally about two weeks ago.

may end up scrapping it due to issue with no garage room for 3 dodges. Need to get my other ambulance inside for winter. sad to see such a rare item go into scrap

Don't scrap it!
They aren't making anymore of them!
Maybe come down on the price, surely someone wants it?

What happened to the photo link? The pictures are no longer there.

I have over 5000 into it and need to get at least 3,500 back out. I have gotten a few emails about saving it already but everyone wants it saved but no one will step up and do it. between the 2 spare frames and this ambulance it takes up a lot of room. Also my other wc 9 is sitting outside and don't want it to be all winter. So one needs to go before rain starts and it is going to be this one.

How much are you going to get if you scrap it? Do you mean part it out, or send it to the crusher?

It may go to the crusher along with the two other frames after all the good parts are stripped. Why you interested Norm

I hate to see old iron crushed. Once it's gone it can never be replaced. We have a responsibility to the hobby to be good stewards of these trucks.
I've seen those frames sell for $300. It just seems to be a shame. I'd rather see you sell those for less money than to crush them for zero if you don't get your price.
This is a bad time of the year to sell. Christmas is closing in, folks are strapped for cash and back east folks are under snow.
You'd be better off financially if you waited until Spring, listed them on ebay, found a place to store them, or sold them for less.
The vintage truck hobby is not about making money, it's about a passion for old iron.
That truck and those frames can never be replaced, once they are gone.
Just my two cents...

Tractor,
I was talking to a guy today who is interested in your truck!
The distance may be an issue, but I have a temp storage space if he buys it and needs a place to keep it for a few weeks.

Well March 1st if not sold will be headed to the crusher. My dad already has it lined up with one of the tow company's he works with as a code enforcement officer.

I'd rather you sold it for $500, than to send it to the crusher, that would be a shame...

Yes and no. It was registered a few years back but the title was burned in a fire. I have all the info to get one though with the last owners signed it over to me

Why are you including the extra frames?

You can pm or email me, if you'd like..

Since there is no pm I will say it here. I bought my other Dodge ambulance and it came with 2 extra frames. I don't need them so I included them
