I am looking to purchase a 205 transfercase. I want to swap out the old 208 in my 86 W150. I would like for it to be in decent operating condition. Thanks and Happy Holidays!!!!!!

The Chevy/GM trucks used the 205 - both attached and divorced. Good luck. They are a much in demand t/c.

First, check your spline counts on the 208 input. You will have to match it or change the output shaft on the transmission.
Is your 208 married? Most early 205's were divorced, then later 205's were married, so it's doubtful that the bolt pattern and spline count from a gm version will work, but stranger things have happened, so get all the info you need BEFORE shopping.
Good Luck!

What Norm said, and NP205 returned to Dodge drivelines again in '89 in W-250 & W-350 etc. & for several years around there.

I have one for sale. NP 205 from a Dodge. Can send you a pic of it if you have a personal e-mail. $125.00 plus whatever shipping is. Been stored for a while. I didn't take it off the truck so I don't know the condition. You can also contact me at DavidLStokes@hotmail.com
