Not mine, but it was a nice truck I thought I would pass on to the list. Great example of a pumper truck!

You are looking at a 1962 Dodge 300 Power Wagon Pumper Firetruck. This truck has been garage kept and the inside and out is in immaculate condition. The truck is like brand new and everything is in working condition. The motor is original and it fires up on the first time. There are only 3352 original miles and that speaks for itself. The pumper is in good condition and the hoses have no sign of dryrot. The gauges and the lights work good also. If you need more pictures or have any question what so ever feel free to email me at jhines807@comcast.net (jhines807@comcast.net)

Look at the gauges. Aftermarket? Kinda challenges that "original miles" statement.

The tachs are aftermarket. The other dash pod gauges
are original.

Shouldn't they look like the the ones in this thread? They look like factory guages from late 70's or early 80's.

The tach's (in dash and on grill) look like aftermarkets but the other gauges look correct for a heavy duty gauge set up. The HD's were an option. The correct tach I think would be a Sun.

There are 2 possible gauge setups for that truck. Stock would be like in Kevin's picture. The optional HD gauges in the subject firetruck are very rare and correct and could have been ordered on any Sweptline from that era. They go for a premium on Ebay etc.

Anyway, it looks like a very nice truck!!

That's correct, the original was a Sun tach.
Actually there were 3 instrument packages, the stock gauges:

The 5 gauge package:

And the six gauge package with tach;

I have never seen those before. Were they only on W300's?

Nope, 100-200-300 and 500.
They are rare, but very cool!

I've never had a truck with the pad, but I think they were 67-68, but that's off the top of my head. I'd have to look in the book, which isn't handy right now.
FrankyB may know...

I believe that it is a 68 thing. The tell tale if it had one is the screw holes in the dash and the extra ash tray under the dash. The pad goes over the top ash tray thus rendering it useless. It may have been optioned on the 67 but stock on the 68's.

That is the same dash pad my 68, W300 and 68, D100 had in them. It was totally different on my 69, W200. I have not owned a 67, so not sure about that year.

The dash pad come out in '67 and ended after '68 when the entire dash
was re-designed.

I agree whole heartedly.

On another forum where some Dodge owners put down other Dodges that a guy owns instead of building him up on his truck. Does not make any sense. I am not posting no more on this particular site after the mishap last week I got into trying to stick up for these trucks value and worth.

Sorry I have put my "opinion" in here and wished I had NOT after sitting back and rethinking about what I said. I will keep my opinion to myself and only give helpful information if I have it from now on. That is one reason I do not post much because I am still learning and this is the place to get it and Norm's site. Thanks for the time and knowledge you guys are willing to share with us. This is one reason I am not selling my W200 now and the main reason is I love that truck. Hope to never have to try to sacrifice the truck anymore due to bills.

Yeah I tried posting truck for sale in the other forms scots form and was treated badley. Some of it was to my own doing but their is couple pleople who just are palin rude and have had problems with numerious people. All I can say is that to some people who are rude on that form need help or have problems. This is my 2cents and this is why I like norms forms and gordo's form they are older but the treat people with respect. They don't go around bashing and thrashing instead the help people with questions. Norm he is the best man I ever meet and I was on the forms since 1999 before it changed. So I am glad and would like to say thanks to norm and gorodo because they are both very great men. So thanks guy for all you do.

Absolutely untrue JIm and you know it. You're difficulties on these sites is
directly attributable to your own actions. I personally tried to assist you
with your issues, as had others, but you chose not to respond. If you're
on some sort of campaign to "sully" the reputation of other sites, your
efforts are sorely misspent as you yourself invited the trouble. Shame on
you sir.... this is all I'll say on the subject.

Hey Doug,
Don't "cut and run" because one individual ruffled your feathers. I am
fully aware of the post of which you speak and whole heartedly stand
on YOUR side. The individual to whom you refer only recently joined the
"community" and he certainly doesn't reflect the views or manners of
the majority of the 2000+ members. Do you know the seller of that
Crew Cab wound up making a deal with this same person?... funny eh?

Yeah I am guility of posting on other peoples sites. Just happen have same part for less money why pay more when you can pay less. I was sent letter from scot and it stated that I was removed because of posting on other peoples post. I am not saying the site was bad yeah if you need parts or info it was nice. Their was select few people like you were that helped me out with some books an info. It's great site for info. All I can say is that norms site is still the number 1 site and will always be. Norm is good guy who has alot information and knows alot more about trucks then anyone does. People might get into political debates with him but he dosen't kick them out for their opinion or for selling parts for cheap. He hasen't talked about people behind their back in other places. Their is alot people can learn from a good guy like him. I hope to some day meet up with him and buy him lunch for being the swell guy he is. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK NORM.

Yea, that was kinda weird how that turned out. I wonder if they will shake hands like best buddies when he pulls into the driveway to get the truck?? LOL... I won't cut and run, it just got to me when he started putting my truck down somewhat and saying that it was not worth it (he did not even know what I was asking for it in the first place). That is when I decided not to post it for sale there because I did not want to go through what that other guy went through. I should not have been so hard on him at first and maybe it would not have went to that level. I know there are a lot of help and good guys on that site also, so I will help where I can and not go into battle anymore hopefully.

My wife constantly tells me that I would kick myself if I sold it and it is now not for sale anymore and thankfully someone did not buy it. When the shop gets built, I will start the restoration process with my boys. Trying to sell this truck has torn me more ways than one and now it's decided and over.

What area of this great country do you live in? I will need a left front fender and a right rear fender soon. They are repairable but if I can get ones nice and straight at a fair price, I will go that direction.
