  • 1951 Dodge B-2-D126 Bed Question

There is a Dodge B-2-D126 truck in my local paper that is complete and in good shape (not running, of course). I have not seen the truck yet. Does anyone know if it would have the same bed as a Power Wagon. It looks like it has the same wheel base.

It's unlikely- the PW bed was made especially for this truck, and has higher sides.

They made a couple of different height beds for the Pilothouse Dodge truck, may be best to check out those who wil lknow over at the forum: nice guys too.

        Get out your tape measure

The 2wd truck has a 108" bed, a foot longer than the PW. Although the B-2-D-126 shares the same wheelbase as the PW-126 they do not have the same cab to axle length. The c to a length on the 2wd truck is approximately 4 inches longer. This means you could not center the rear fenders over the rear axle because the bed would hit the cab. It would stick out a foot farther than the factory bed and the tires would likely hit the fenders.
