Just had my tires removed so to blast and paint wheels and have a dumb question? why do 3 of my wheels have a hole for the tube valve and 2 have a slot?, see photos, theese are off a 49 B-1-PW

Mine are the same way, most have the slot two have a hole. I put the hole ones on the the M101 trailer and the slotted ones on the truck

Were they a "matched set", from the same year? They would all be stamped "49" somewhere on the face of the bolt pattern.

Have not even started to blast them so thanks for the advice of looking for a year stamp.
