  • Removing 230 head

Question: moisture appearing in the spark plug well is a sign of ? I have a 1947 WDX, burns oil like a champ and despite installing a new manifold , tight exhaust system, new oil , I’m getting a lot of exhaust in the cab when there Is a load on the engine, I’ve asked around and the consensus is since a compression test showed 125 on all cylinders, there may be an issue with the oil rings. I’ve been advised to drain the oil and coolants, remove the oil pan and head and inspect the cylinder rings. What should I do to in preparation of removing the head? There is probably a good chance of breaking the studs, what can I do to minimize that chance?
    any thoughts ??
