What would be said, if a WDX was painted in Omaha Orange?

According to the poll here, 17 people would say..."nice!"

I am going to paint my '46 WDX Omaha Orange with black fenders and running boards. I don't have the original bed, so it will have a black flat bed.
Not correct for the year, but the rest of the truck is not really correct for the year. And I like the color.

            Omaha orange...

My 1967 cab/chassis was Omaha Orange, also missing the bed, along with seats, wipers, headlight housings (rusted) and rotted w/s frame...

My intentions were exactly like yours, but two years of umemployment

(late 10/2003-10/2005) forced it's sale... Michigan is not the place to be with almost 40 years of dealership management experience...

My project went to Canada...out of sight, out of mind...

Looking forward to see how " OUR " color choice progresses...

            best of luck, Rick

Why is it that the inside of old truck cabs smell so good?

Kind of nice to see this poll pop up every once in a while. Still trying to decide on what color I want as I wouldn't want my Power Wagon to be too common!

Honestly I like the blue, but I was thinking about a navy gray in tribute to the vessels that are paying for this hobby (plus it's kind of built like one).

Some day mine will have a fresh coat of Omaha Orange too...

but for now I will be just appreciating those of you that have beautiful O.O. trucks.

You painted it yourself? Did you get the paint off the internet or local?

Ha Ha!! No I didn't paint it myself. I know better than that. A friend painted it for me. He used Martin Senour paint from NAPA.
It's a two step (base coat and clear coat). If I were having it done again, I think I would prefer a single gloss coat,.

Thought I would rekindle this thread. I'm leaning toward painting my PW Maroon. Dodge used a color in 1949-1952 for trucks (not PW's) called Rio Maroon. Anyone seen it used?

This is not my truck. It was on a calendar a few years ago.
