  • 32nd International Dodge Power Wagon Rally June 2nd through June 9th 2019

Here is a quick rundown and a few changes this year. Registration will not be open for a few weeks yet as I am still hashing out a few details. Keep an eye on this and I will keep you all updated.

A few things first--There will be truck inspections and safety checks before trail riding. We want to make sure everyone understands how there truck operates and functions.

Bring a cooler and lawn chairs this year... Long days worth of road trips.

Sunday June 2nd-- PWA Ranch Afternoon Trailrides, general visit sessions and Walking Taco's for Dinner.

Monday June 3rd-- VPW will be open as normal, bring you and your truck by the shop and we will make sure you understand how it works and operates.
Trail Rides out at the Phillips Farm in the AM- Evening Pot Luck Meet and Greet at PWA Ranch, BYOB and Lawn Chairs We will be serving Maid rites and Sloppy Joes.
Please bring a side dish to share.
Tuesday June 4th--Again VPW will be open for business, and there will be a morning trail ride out to the Phillips Farm-- In the afternoon there will be a tech session going over the in's and out's

of the 9 5/8 differentials, carries and such--- Evening dinner will be out at the Jefferson County Cider works.

Wednesday June 5th---- Something entirely different this year. Make sure your filled up with fuel, have a cooler packed with your water and sodas, pack a lunch and bring snacks. We will be having an all day road rally through the Villages of Van Buren, we will be making several stops at different places to check out the sights. The Dutchman's store in Cantril Iowa, The Gothic House in Eldon, Iowa, Misty's Malt shop in Keosaqua Iowa. This will be roughly the half way point. If anyone wants to head back to town at this point you will take Highway 1 back North to Fairfield.
The rest will continue onto Bentonsporte and Bonaparte where we will check out the history and antiques of the area.
After that we will back road cruise with some gravel and pavement on a return trip to fairfield via the rural countryside.
That Evening we will meet on the Square in Fairfield for an Evening of Food and Fun. There will be a live Blues and rock and Roll band, Sweet and Saucy along with Hyvee will be grilling up Food. We will have parking like on Parade day for our Trucks up town. This will be open to the public for them to meet us and here all about what it is like to be a Dodger :)

Thursday June 6th--- we will have a Morning trailride to the Phillips farm, After Lunch we will line up at the Fairgrounds and Head on South to the Porter Farm where we will take a tour see equiptment and see what a Large scale Iowa Farming operation is all about.
That Evening we will Head out to the Phillips farm for a Hot dog roast and the teeter Board Competition. Again the evening trail ride needs to be clear of the woods by Nightfall.

Friday June 7th--- Morning Trail Rides to the Phillips farm, for those that want to go, At the VPW North Shop there will be a tech session Involving the Tear Down of the MU2 Winch.
In the Afternoon there will be a painting and wine event held at the Fairgrounds in the Cambridge building. That evening we will have our Iowa chop feed camp courageous auction and the truck pull.

Saturday Morning we will have the parade to the square and judging for the awards will occur. I would like to do some type of truck games that afternoon before the banquet for those around and interested but i dont really have this wrapped up yet.
Saturday Night the Banquet will be held at https://www.ciderhouse1949.com/
Not to be confused with Jefferson County Ciderworks. The Banquet will be catered by Cashus Italian cuisine. A little change up from years before with an italian and pasta menu.

Please feel free to get with me on any additional ideas and or concearns and or questions that you may have.

Looks like another great rally in Fairfield in June and I had better get serious on getting the upgrades completed on the Carryall. Thanks for all the work you guys are doing to get ready for the rally.
