I posted a while back concerning the pto on a wmn300 I had just picked up. It wasn't working no matter what position the engaging lever was in. Alas!!! someone had installed the earlier type pto, and as many of you wrote, the gears were too far apart to engage. I have found another transmission (53-m37) that appears to be the same as mine (with obvious differences) with a pto attached, that looks like the right one.My question to you ----I have noticed that the mounting holes in the pto case normally have one that is slotted (top one ?) Mine doesn't. Does that tell you anything about this pto? (I have never read anything about this hole pattern in your forums) I assume this pto will work with my synchronized transmission or should I switch out the complete unit. providing it is in good shape.
