I recently put the finished cab back on my '52 B-3 power wagon restoration.
I previously had bolted the steering box to the frame and torqued the bolts to specs.
When I got the cab on, I can see that the steering column is a little "off" as far as where the steering column lines up with the dash and where the collar bolts the assembly up to the dash underside. It is over to the passenger side a bit. I have moved the cab slightly but that did not help much- the cab bolts when loosened prevent much movement there.
I can get the steering column aligned at the dash if I loosen the bolts holding the steering box to the frame.
I guess I could shim the steering box at the frame and then tighten things down and maintain the alignment. Am I correct in this thinking?
