I have been wondering how to remove the rather large shaft that the brake peddle rides on.. any suggestions? or is it a job for a 20 ton press? it appears as if there is a set screw or some type on the front left side, is that the case?

brake peddle "pin" removal question

If you clean the whole peddle mount up real well, you should see that there are two holes, 180 degrees from one another, and that there is a roll pin that holds the peddle pin in place. A properly sized drift can be used to carefully drive the roll pin out. If the drift isn't long enough, small ball bearings can be stacked in the hole and continue to use the drift.Originally posted by Jason Mills View PostI have been wondering how to remove the rather large shaft that the brake peddle rides on.. any suggestions? or is it a job for a 20 ton press? it appears as if there is a set screw or some type on the front left side, is that the case?
