  • Army Power Wagon

I have an original US Army PW that is going to wind up as parts and I am posting it here in case anyone is keeping track or needs details before it gets stripped. There is no data tag and the frame number has some metal welded over it but I would be happy to take pics or give details if anyone needs them to restore theirs.

It looks like your truck is loaded with good parts. Are you stripping it for your own use, or in order to sell the good stuff?

We keep track of these trucks at the Power Wagon Registry:

With the unusual history of your truck, it would be nice to leave a record by registering it for posterity. Is there any chance that you could get that metal removed that is covering the frame number?

I have a 49 I'm rebuilding and I need some of the parts off this one. I would keep it If I thought it had any potential, but the front of the frame has been cut off and there are some large reinforcements welded on to it. Also the data plate is missing and the cab is dented pretty good on the pass side. I'd give it up without some of the parts (bed) if someone wanted to save it but it would be a major undertaking. I'll try to get the numbers off the frame after I take the front end off. I'll post some more pics also.
