  • Might be new owner of power wagon

    G'day all from penrith Australia.

I have been looking on the forums a while and done some reserch on the old and fiathful power wagon.

I have now become in a postion to aqiure a power wagon.

I belive it is posted up here before, the owners name is bob and in the pic it is in front of the beach with flags.

    Will try to find it.

    Cost is $15000 AUD.

    Here is the link:

    http://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&so...0PzNozYxaXDxVA

Considering most good cars/4wd/suv cost that mutch second hand with a few k's/m's i was wieghting up the options vrs other 4wd.
)A second hand converted Dodge 2500 diesel cost about $65000, to give you a ruff idea), Ido personaly like old trucks 4wd, there seems an aura of dont **** me off im a work truck thing with them and of course there 1000 yard look.

I am no stranger to old cars my daily driver is a modified WW2 gp.

For the benifit of the young me i am 23 after all.

Need from those with exsperinced the general abilitys/ limits and maintence of such a mechanical art form know as the Dodge Power Wagon.

All opions and view most welcome have talked to a few past operaters and owners and have a wonderful and crazy stories witch intriedge me to the dodge, the stories takes place in the Snowy mountian scheme.

Thank you for your time and energy.

Did fly over to perth before to see this vehicle it is amazing and in great condtion.
I am trying to get to the piont beyond a adoubt where or not this is a correct chioce based on the options ot there.

    Regards James.

P.S. Nice set up and people on this forum and website network thankyou for this wonderful creation and community its supports.

I get it now. Troop seats.

Beautiful truck. You would probably have a hard time finding a Power Wagon in Australia so such a nice truck would be the one to get. It gets my vote.

                              hi all

                              hi all

had problems with gettign it to be a daily driver in NSW

RTA is like a demon all of its own.

How ever i have found a power wagon cheap but nasty.

                              Need a lot of work.

I am going to try but will need help from other and all on this forum.

For e.g the power wagon mentioned need a full complete green left hand door.

                              This power wagon is LHD.

So cannot modifiey it now due to all other other modification reqiured to do so. e.g. convert to RHD.

I have been told it will snap axles under own power?

If this is true are there like chrome molly 4340 axles etc avilble for them.

Only problem i see is the differnces in length - off set diff. as in ablilty to modifiey exsiting axles dana 60 etc.

                              Thanky you for your time.

P.S. all reply welcome hope to ehar from you all.
