  • Engines ?

Is there any major differences between the side valve dodge comercial engine and the power wagon engine? I have found a side valve engine used to drive a water pump, the engine appears to have done very little work, are these industerial engines the same?

They are basically the same engine and come in several sizes from the 217 cu in. to the 265. Extra features that could be had on the IND engines were sodium filled valves, choice of a full flow or bypass oiling system, magneto ignition, and an accessory gear drive on the model 31 and 33. I had a IND 32 in my WDX (265 cu in) with sodium valves and full flow oiling. The engine had been in a Tucker Snow Cat.
