  • help with leaf springs

so if any of you can help me im working on a 68 wm300 and i was trying to get the leafs off because were takeing it down to the frame and on the brackets there are pins that go through to hold them in and if you try to pound them out the back the whole thats back there isnt lined up to pound them out so it just hits the frame so if any one knows how to get them pins out so i can take them leafs out it would be a big help

Screw a fine threaded bolt into the grease zerk hole.
3/8 if I remember correctly, and pull the pin outwards.
It must come out toward you.
Use a slide hammer or make a puller, out of a larger deep socket, nut, and washer's.
Also make sure the spring can "float" on the pin. Meaning, No weight on it.
If you have moved it inwards, should come back easy,we hope?
