Flatbed

I am planning to build a new wooden flatbed for my PW. It looks like two 24" under bed tool boxes will just fit between the cab and spring shackle bracket. I want to balance the height of the bed and toolboxes so the bed isn't too high or the boxes hanging down too low. I am wondering (1) does anyone have some flatbed design details they would share and (2) anyone fitted up underbed toolboxes? Thanks.
