Metal tangs/clips for brake shoes- broke off.

I managed to break off several of the metal spring-steel clips that help keep the shoes seated/aligned/etc. from the wheel hub assembly. I tried not to do it of course, but three of the eight managed to break off. They seem to be tamped onto two small lugs, so replacing them will be a pain. How critical are these? What is the best remedy?

They are important. Memphis Equipment did have a bunch of new ones though I have not bought any of late; they are the same on an M37. They can easily be attached with a small screw and nut. Very easy to do and not a pain at all. Check them out at 901-774-0600. Ask for Ed in parts.
