I know the 11.00 x 16 was designed to fit the 6.5" wheel of the M-37 and, therefore, the PW. Will the 325/85/R16 fit as well? The XML spec sheet shows a 9" approved rim but I've heard others on the forum talk about using bigger tires with the PW rim and it working fine. Anyone know for sure? Are the 11.00 x 16 and the 325/85/R16 the same size tire?

I have a set of those XML's and originally thought of mounting them on stock Budd rims. However, after some investigation and thought have decided that the best course is to get some custom rims built for them. If you have some, you know how stiff these tires are and trying to force these onto rims 6.5 inches wide when they are meant for 9" seems to be pushing it too far. Also, getting your hands on radial tubes and flaps for these tires is a pain and wouldn't be required with a custom tubeless rim. I'm saving my shekels now for those rims and once I eventually get them I intend to post photos here of the XMLs on my WDX. If you accomplish this (whatever route you take) first, please post photos.

Thanks, David. These things are so hard to find I was hoping against hope that they would work. Can't see paying for custom wheels, even though that would solve other issues. Kinda want to keep it stock (wheels that is, don't like the NDTs).Comment

You might check with who ever you use for mounting/dismounting your tires and see what they have to say. I don't want to be the one to throw cold water on your plans. If you scroll down this page to the yellow Bronco you will read that he has these XML's on 7" rims.

Stockdon Wheel says on their web site that they can widen anyones stock rims. Don't know the cost of this including shipping and you would still need the tubes and flaps.
