PTO Fit up

I'm getting ready to fit up the Braden back on the truck and want to make sure the PTO that came with the truck (not installed) will fit my 251/NP420.

I've checked my DODGE parts book, and it looks like it is a match.

Question: Is this PTO a fit for my NP420?

That looks like the same PTO that went on my NP420, but mine did not have that notch in the case like yours does. As you probably know, you can't just slap a gasket on that and bolt it on, you have to set the backlash/gear mesh when you install it. It is a lot easier to do when it is on the bench than in the truck.

Frankly though, that PTO looks nasty... have you checked it out and gone over it? There are several seals that can leak if that sort of thing bothers you.
