I've checked all three of my books and still can't find anything about installing my manifolds.
I have the nut kit from VPW, and it has:
Four tapered steel nuts. I think two go all the way on the left and two go all the way on the right, and they get snugged first to center the manifold.
Then I have 8 brass nuts left and four large steel washers and four large brass washers. I sort of think the brass ones go where they only contact one manifold, and the steel ones go where the intake and exhaust share a common stud.
And crank them all to 15-20 pounds?
And... Why is that winter summer flapper not made of stainless? It looks to me like it will rust up in two days!
I was hoping to get this going for the weekend!
Thanks
Wayne
