  • Do the WM300 and M37 share the same chassis and drivetrain?

In my search for a WM300 I am coming across several, what looks like M37 vehicles. I am wondering if it is just the body and bed of the truck that are different.
Theoretically, could I mount a WM300 cab, hood, fenders and grille onto a M37 chassis?
Although I am only by pictures, the winch seems to mount the same way and the suspension parts all look the same.
Aren't the M37 rated as a 3/4 ton where the WM300 is rated at 1ton? Is this just a numbers game?

Sorry for all the questions but I am trying to understand these vehicles.

    Thanks in advance.

No, they are not the same. Others can go into far more detail but the frame is different as is most of how everything is mounted.

The major portions of the powertrain are the same. Engine blocks, transfer case, differentials, hubs, brakes. But the axle length is different as is the steering setup besides all the cosmetic things.
