  • My first Power Wagon

Just picked up my first power wagon for restoration. Have a 1949 B-1-PW-126. What is the right forum to get advise on companies that have parts and accessories that will help me on my adventure?

I just finished a 1972 Toyota Lancruiser restoration where I joined a similar forum site that I was not only able to get advice on all aspects of my restoration project but was able to share what I learned. I am hoping that this forum will be both as informative and welcoming.

Looking forward to learning about my new project truck as well as helping others.

Congratulations! First, we need to see some pics! You have found one of the great forums for Power Wagons.

    Here are a couple more:

    http://www.dodgepowerwagon.com/wwwboard/index.html

    http://www.t137.com/

A very basic list of parts suppliers:

    http://www.vintagepowerwagons.com/

    http://www.midwestmilitary.net/

    http://www.powerwagonparts.com/

    http://stores.ebay.com/Erics-Classic-Dodge-Truck-Parts

    http://www.dodgepowerwagon.com/stahl/

There are more but this will get you started. I'm sure others will chime in with their favorites.

Good luck, keep us updated on your progress! :)

      Thanks for the welcome.

I plan on posting pics as I proceed. I know this is both something that other members like to see as well as informative to those performing similar tasks on their rigs.

I guess I need to either join by subscribing to the magazine or becoming a premium member to post pics and fill in my User CP so you can bet I will be doing that. What do you recommend? is there allot of informative info in the magazine or will my wife just be complaining to me about another subscription (I get many).

Again thanks for the response and info and I look forward to years of enjoyment on this site. (doing a complete frame off resto to original except maybe converting it to a 12v system so this may take a few years).

I think you will really enjoy the magazine. I have subscribed for a number of years and find each issue something to look forward to. And somewhere along the line one of the mail carriers between Gordon and me seems to enjoy the magazine as well, since every month the little tabs that hold the magazine closed for mailing are torn or obviously re-attached. I liked it better when the magazine came in an envelope, since they never were opened. JH
