  • Electrical Upgrades- Voltmeter swap WM-300

Getting very close to the final checkout on the electrical upgrades on my 1967 WM-300.

I will also post a pic of the bundle of wires that got my attention to the ammeter removal suggestions which were MUCH appreciated!

Looking good and quite inspirational as I will find myself in this very situation in the not too distant future.

Thanks. Nearly every owner of a FFPW or M-37 will need to do some form of electrical upgrade or repair. The lack of over-current protection (fusing) is potentially dangerous. My best suggestion is start with a good drawing (plan) and do it in stages.

The ammeter arrangement is not a problem if the wiring is corrected and maintained, and if the ammeter is operating properly. In most cases the wiring and terminals are degraded and corroded and cause high resistance, heat, and possibly melt downs!

I will be posting a revised wiring plan with fuse box and circuit layout.
