  • bed strips and bolts

so im trying to find the correct bed strips for my FFPW. the dodge ones were more square than the chevy ones. anyone know of a good place to get them? also looking for the larger headed carrage bolts for the bed strips and the large headed bolts for holding the box to the frame. most of these companys wont show a picture on their site so im not finding what i need. any help is appreciated.

Have you checked with Vintage Power Wagons or Mar-k?

Why is it that the inside of old truck cabs smell so good?

I have heard Mar-K has excellent reproduction pieces but I have not used them yet,
Many here however have including Ron(IN) has and may have better info.
I used Bruce Horkey's from MN with great results and was very satisfied with the exception of the Hold down bolts and washer's were smaller than original, but worked for me.
I thought the strips, bolts, wood were spot on.
Maybe that has change by now as a few people have expressed there concern to Bruce.

I've always dealt with Mar-K for bed parts. Excellent products which is not to say Horkey's aren't as good. I have found that their bolt package fits their bed strips better than buying bolts from a hardware store. Mar-K's hold down bolts are 1/2" diameter.

I used Mar-k parts on my truck. Their products are first rate. In fact I just took the bed back apart and am re-finishing the wood. I had a gas can tip over and spill on my finish. Gas plus urethane = ugly white paint.

Anyway, I am reusing the bolts and strips all still look new (four years old). All stanless steel.

ok thanks for the info guys my main concerns are getting the bolts that have the larger than normal heads on them. also are the bed strips you guys used more of a square dodge style strip or are they rounded like a chevy strip?
