Thank you very much, after some extensive research last night I figured out that my truck is supposed to have a second series bed not a first series So after some long thinking and talking we have decided to use this bed for another truck and get repop sides and front for a second series.
Where is the best place to order a second series bed from?

Tailgate
As Tom indicated, your tailgate should look like this one for 1st series bed. I am in the middle of the same project as you!Attached FilesTim Ellis

Reproduction Bedsides
Vintage Power Wagons has everything you need in one place, or you could also contact Matt Tisdale 812-453-7625 directly. He is reproducing all three series, but does not do the headboard or tailgate. There is a LOT more fabrication involved in 2nd series so the price is higher. 1st series sides are about $2750 and 2nd series will set you back $3950.
I just purchased an entire 1st series bedsides, headboard and tailgate. White Oak and stainless strips for mounting. All together, it put a pretty good hurt on my checkbook. Now I have to get it all painted still!Tim Ellis

There are at least three other people out there who have also reverse engineered the pickup box, and probably have detail drawings. But, they were/are in the business of selling sheetmetal. I doubt that they would want to lend/sell drawings that are crucial to their business.

Clint, If you still have the 3S Data Files it might be possible to read the fine into a different software.I drive a DODGE, not a ram!

If I still had the old software working on a Windows XP machine, I could work with the models and update them with correct practices so I could produce good drawings. My current 3D software will open and convert the files but they loose all features in the process. They become just dumb uneditable models. The problem with that is that I would have to start over from scratch with the new software and make new models to produce drawings from.
I have given folks drawings of parts I have reverse engineered in the past with the stipulation that if they have parts made - just make one of each for me as payment. This has worked with mixed results. Half of the time, I never hear from the people again.
If I were to start over and make new models and drawings with my current software, I would have to charge the same rate for the service that my employer charges. It would be cheaper to just buy a new reproduction box from CCSammy.
