Windshield frames differences, will it work?

My lower frame is rusted beyond repair, or at least what I would attempt to fix. I bought a mint chrome lower off ebay. It got here and I realized the center post is different. Can I make these work or do I have to find a different lower? First pic is the one on my '60, second is the replacement I bought. Thanks

That piece in your pic is the cover that goes over the center post to hide the joint at the top, it should just unclip at the ends. Otherwise from what I can see they look correct.

There are also two really tiny little ones on each side that cover where the frame halves meet, though those can go missing.

Thanks! I didn't know there was a cover, it all makes sense now. I saw the covers on the side, just thought they were part of the frame.
