Well a few weeks ago my wife pulled the engine out of my '56 FFPW so we could take it to the machine shop to get it rebuilt. The block checks out fine, but my crankshaft is not so fine.... Even without magnafluxing it we can see this crack. The good news is it is winter and I have another eight weeks to get it rebuilt and back going!

Have you found a replacement crank yet?

Dave: I don't have a good crank in hand yet, but Tim H has one that will work and Brinkley has a lead on one. The one John has his eyes on has never been turned. They both have the same casting number and are reasonably priced.
