1950 B-2-PW-126 Carburetor

I'm new to Power Wagons and this forum. My father and I have started a project to restore on of my grand fathers FF power wagons. First snag in the engine evaluation.....the carburetor does not look OEM. Could be wrong. The linkage from the foot feed pulls back which pushes the accelerator to the carb up.

Can someone tell me what this carb is or what is supposed to be on a 1950 Dodge FF Power Wagon.

Welcome to the Forum. Glad to hear you are restoring your grandfather's trucks. Looks like a really solid truck to restore.

The correct carb for 1950 is the Carter E7F1 with King Seeley 220-8 integral governor. It appears you have the correct carb and governor. One of the features of this carb is that it has a vacuum advance accelerator pump rather than a mechanical advance. Also, the only throttle plate is in the governor, so you cannot remove the governor or the throttle plate like you can on later style carbs with separate sandwich style governors.

After some extensive cleaning part of the carb housing says Bell&Bell.

Scrub just a tiny bit more and you will find Ball and Ball. You will typically hear them referenced as Carter B&B. Good luck with the restore!
