  • Signal stat

My signal stat turn signal system stopped working today, it started with the stalk mounted indicator lite going out so as I investigated that, it stopped blinking but the fender mounted indacators worked, all stopped working. as I looked I could not find a fuse and the stalk mounted bulb was not burned out. Any ideas, thanks Paul.

Check to make sure you have power to the flasher.
The switch indicator light gets it's ground through the clamp on the steering column, check that.

The basic concept any time you have an electrical issue should be to "walk the path" the electricity needs to take with a volt meter. Figure out where it's stopping at. Power to the switch, through the switch, to the lights, and like others have said, don't forget the grounds, they seem to be the problem more often than the supply side.

I have had that problem due to not making a good ground through the steering column tube.
