  • Brake Booster Plumbing

    Hi All!

Going through the brakes on my new to me 54' FFPW and the brake booster plumbing has been hacked by previous owners. I plan on a new booster and lines/hoses all around.

Brake booster was mounted on the left side of frame, behind the middle cross member- just ahead of the left rear tire.

Question is what is a good source for the intake manifold connection, check valves etc. It looks like the line off the intake manifold was steel - maybe 1/2? Is there a line off the shelf that is easily modified for this?

    Thanks!

    Brake Booster

    Hi James-

If you do some searching of previous threads, you should be able to find everything you need. Brake boosters have been discussed quite a bit. Charles Talbert has posted a lot of detail on parts in various threads.
    Hope this helps!
