Need picture of spare tire mounting.

I just put new tires on my 57 FFPW and I removed the spare tire but it looks like it needs to be elevated off the running board for the wing type nut to be centered. The thing weights a ton!!
Ive looked on line and have found very few pictures of the assembly.
Not sure If I should attach it through a lug hole or the center hole?
I am having a senior moment, please help.

What style of mount does that year use? Mine has that big cast arm that bolts to the frame, but I though some were sheet metal attached to the cab?

The arm style have a heavy plate that holds the center hole of the rim, that plate goes over the stud on the mount. Not sure about any other version.
