  • Fog Lights

I recently came across a nice set of Dietz 510 fog lamps. Am interested in putting them on my truck, but can't seem to figure out how the bracket was supposed to work. Am including a picture from our PW parts list that shows a similar bracket as well as a modern production bracket from Unity. Am hoping people can show me how they mounted their fog lights. Tom Petroff - others?

    Tim,
I used an existing hole that was in my bumper gusset.
Someone had a set of pull hooks mounted there,go figure.

Any way I just used the top half(arm) to get it away from the pull hooks.
And the next serrated block under the gusset with the shorter of the two bolts in the kit.

It's really up to your imagination how you want to do it.
That's why there are so many parts to choose from.
If you do use the gusset and need to drill the hole I would move them
    Farther outward.

    Tom

      Thanks Tom!

I looked through dozens of pictures of your truck, but couldn't see with enough detail how you chose to mount your fog lights. This helps a bunch!

Our trucks seem to have existing holes for nearly every imaginable option and since this bracket is in our PW parts book I assumed there was a designed spot for it. Perhaps a bolt that gets removed or something like that.

Kind of scary that somebody thought the gusset would be a nice place for tow hooks!

The mounting was for a type of bumper that the Power Wagon doesn't have. Think of flat bar bumpers from the '30's to the early 50's. Clamp went around bumper, light aimed, and snugged up. As Tom said.....Adapt.

I used the same set - up to mount plow lights on one of my trucks.

          Thanks Grover26!

Didn't want to go around drilling new holes without checking first.

I believe those look good almost anywhere on the front, I just think they finish off the truck nicly.
