I have a truck which uses the "clip type" 8 1/2" wiper blades. I know that VPW sells the entire frame assembly, but I really just need the rubber. Does anyone know of a source for refills? Or is this whole assembly just disposable now like so many other things in our shiny, new, consume mass quantities modern world? I have had no luck with any of the local parts houses and I can't find a part number on the ones I have.

I use any refills that are the right width and cut them to fit. Usually find all I need in the 55 gallon drum outside the local AutoZone. That way I don't feel bad if I screw one up...lol. -
The rear wiper on my car is a tiny size that I could only find at the dealer. Did some searching and most people buy refills, but most places don't sell refills any more, just the whole arm, but I stopped at one of the older parts stores and they still had some in the back. Just bought a longest I could and cut them to size. Managed two or three out of each refill for cheap.
Otherwise I was just going to buy a whole wiper blade and just remove the rubber from it to do the same thing.Comment
