1956 Power Wagon tel-e-lect

I purchased my first power wagon this summer. I have always liked these trucks and was fortunate to have one come up for sale locally. It has a tel-e-lect digger and was originally used by a local rural telephone company.
Here is where the truck has sat for the last 30 years.

We pulled the power wagon up to the trailer with a John Deere 50 then winched the truck on.

Here is the truck finally loaded onto the trailer. The tow vehicle is my 1964 Mack B-61.

Made it home with my new toy. I received many waves and thumbs ups with the old Mack hauling the power wagon.

Here are some more close up pictures of the truck. I vacuumed the many squirrel nuts out of the cab when I unloaded the truck.

I have the truck all tucked away in the shed for winter. I have a couple projects that I would like to finish then will start looking at the power wagon hopefully next summer sometime.

That is super nice! Someone may correct me but I believe this is a Bell Telephone Truck? I have seen a similar one in working action and they are very cool. Congratulations and welcome aboard.

I was able to see one in action at the 2012 VPW Rally. There is a video of it drilling a hole somewhere on the web....... Here is a still shot for you. I believe the owner was from Indiana. Very cool!
