Master Brake Cylinder

Hey guys sorry about this question and I am sure the answer is somewhere but apparently not in any of my manuals? I have been working under my 50 Power wagon doing cleaning and greasing etc. and I will need to start on the brakes one of these days, do I have to pull the drivers side floor pan out to have access to the master cylinder? My M37 has that little access hole and the Power Wagon has nothing, does the floor pan have to come out to add fluid???

Sorry for the dumb question and I am sure the answer is obvious but i have not found it yet? Any assistance is appreciated!

The MC on the 50 is located forward, not like the M37 and is under the steering box. Not easy to access and fill but doable.

I make a small funnel and tube to assist *** topping up brake fluid. About 2 feet of line and you are golden.

Thanks guys for you comments and it is sure not what I was hoping for, the M-37 is a total cake walk compared to the PW, oh well it is what it is, thanks very much guys!

I have heard of people mounting a remote reservoir on some of these trucks. I have not done it myself but it may be worth researching.

That is a great idea! Sick of using a tranny funnel.
Has anyone purchased and installed this kit? Is the cap to the reservoir vented?

Hmmmm. I purchased this, but will have to go see if the cap is vented. To my recollection, it has a rubber seal inside the cap like most master cylinder caps. Will try to get a pic and post it in the next few days.

I posted too quickly. From the description....

Vented cap with bellows type gasket (like modern reservoirs keeps moisture out)

So, the answer is YES!
