1948 Dodge Power Wagon options

Is there any info out there on the options that were available on the 1948 Power Wagon?

Other than a heater not much offered in the form of "creature" comforts,

Individual owners through the MoPar parts Dept, or
Aftermarket would equip there trucks how they wanted.

This is as close as I can get from 1968
Some of these options were not available until late years,
Ie 251,engine,power brakes etc.
1848 was a bare bone truck.

Yes, rear shocks were an option. Here is a short list, I may add more as I think of them:

1) Winch
2) Optional leaf spring rates
3) 7.50 - 9.00 tires along with the required gear ratio change option
4) Transmission mounted PTO
5) Rear tailshaft
6) Rear belt pulley drive
7) Rear draw bar
8) Rear shocks
9) Passenger side taillight
10) Electric windshield wipers
11) Deluxe cab options
12) Side vent wings
13) Passenger side rear view mirror/long arm mirrors
14) Radiator overflow tank
15) Mechanical engine governor
16) Oil filter
17) Front tow hooks
18) And as Tom mentioned, the heater. This would be considered part of the available MoPAR accessories which included spot lights, sparkplug Evr-Dry packages, etc.

I thought of a few more options available in 1948.

1) Starting in 1948, one had the option of three different generators - the original 35 amp that was used in 1946-1947, a new 32 amp low speed cut-in generator, as well as a new 50 amp generator.

2) Rear pintle hitch.

3) Dual high and low pitch horns.

I believe you can apply for your build card at no cost now, I may be incorrect but I believe I read that now. Through Chrysler.

I believe you are correct on the build card being at no cost. I received mine the other day and the check I sent came back with it. Also a note saying that at this time they can not provide a full decoding due to remodeling.
