  • NP200 Idler spacer tool

Does anybody know the width of the idler shaft spacer tool to set preload? I cannot locate one to purchase, so I’m hoping to make one.

They have a dummy idler shaft for placing the assembly back into a NP205 case, it doesn’t quite work for a NP200. They do not have the spacer tool.

It's pretty simple to have the spacer made, my old neighbor made one for me out of some leftover DOM tubing he had. I just measured the thickness of the case front and back and added a little to get the length. He cut it a the piece a little long and then trued up the ends on his lathe, took him maybe a half hour. As long as the nut will torque down against the inner bearing race the dimensions aren't super critical.
The dummy shaft is trickier, I managed to borrow one from someone on the forums but it wasn't quite right. It helped but didn't work like it was supposed to.
