Hey guys I am assembling my engine and got the valve train in this morning and was starting on the crank and got to the rear cap and saw where the rope seal goes in the cap and the slot in the block and the instructions said to press the rope seal in and cut off the excess well there is NO excess in cat it leaves about a 1/4 inch gap in the rope seal on both ends with the rear main cap on, obviously this cannot be correct right, I mean this IS going to be an oil leak for sure right? Do you think the gasket kit I got has the wrong rope seal in it?
