thoughts needed please

Good morning Gentlemen well the great news is I got my engine, clutch, bellhousing and transmission in the chassis yesterday and this morning the transfer case went in all good there! now my two questions 1. Does the throwout bearing spring attach to that bolt with the holes in it that sticks through the top rear section of the bell housing? and 2. I would like to eliminate the exhaust carburetor heat control in the exhaust manifold. My thought is to just build a plate to cover it to help isolate it from the intake manifold. My truck will never be run during cold weather so in my limited thought process I see no need for it. Thoughts on this one also please!

As to the heat riser, I would just leave it in the summer position or eliminate the plate in the manifold. The spring for the throwout bearing is anchored in the bolt with the hole in it.
