As the tear down initiates, I have come across (4) cracks located at the mid-crossmember/frame junctions. Seems like the correct answer is to remove the (8) large button-head rivets that hold the spring perch, weld in a fish plate, then re-attach the spring perches. However, is it possible to just weld in the cracked areas without plates? I guess until you remove the perch, one has no idea how far down the crack travels?
