Engine removal steps - one of many ways

So after getting the engine back I decided to install it back in with the transmission attached. This was a good choice for me as it took a couple hours and realignment of the clutch plate again before I got them to mate. Doing this in the cab would have been a nighttime my opinion.

I also installed the exhaust and intake manifold prior to install at the suggestion of my help. This was a wise decision as the nut placement required us to be at many differ positions to get them all in.


The item I would suggest also in place would before installing is the throttle cross member that attaches to the bell housing. I didn’t do this and was significantly harder then it needed to be.
