Couple questions cowl lights rubber pad and left rear fender alignment

Hey guys on the cowl lights there is a steel baseplate that goes against the cab and the light mounts to and trough that plate is there a gasket between the light assembly and that plate? second part of this is concerning the plate itself, is there a rubber pad between the plate and the cab? By the looks of it they are getting their ground through this plate being against the cab, can I run another wire to the light assembly and ground that inside the cab somewhere?
Last question is when I mounted my left rear fender its sticking out almost an inch more than the right one and the holes in the fender are slotted for rotation only but no provisions for in and out adjustment. I would certainly not like to slot the fenders for in and out movement. Is there another way to get this adjustment?
