big alternator?

74w300uteline, What's that huge generator looking thing just above your steering box in your pics? I see it is meant to be belt driven & has what appears to be battery cables going into it. Is this the military 24 volt alternator? I've never looked under the hood of an M880. Thanks

I'm getting a enclosed canopy to work on this so I can pull the front clip. Is the white paint on the firewall/inner fenders OE? I've got plenty of split loom to recover all the OE wiring so I just want to get it all nice and clean. I have found a source for rebuilt/NOS harnesses if I find any problems with mine.

Yes, Mopar firewalls & inner fenders were painted body color.

Ok thanks....Must have been repainted 2tone by a previous owner somewhere alone the way....Wonder what else I'll find that isn't OE on here :-/
