    Any ideas where to pick up a new Y-pipe for a 1977 W-200 ?

Any ideas what one would cost ?

    Many Thanks,

Check Summit Racing. You could probably have one fabricated.

You would think that would be the case, but....

I had custom dual exhaust made for a '63 D200 with a 383 in it. I went back to the same shop a year later to get another vehicle done and they told me they don't bend any pipe there, they don't do that kind of work. I told them yes they do because they did my truck the previous year. He said "Oh. That guy doesn't work here anymore and nobody else knows how to work that machine".

Their new mechanics just install new parts they pull off the shelf. Only three brain cells required!

I payed a total of $500 for everything from the manifolds back. New Y, flowmaster 40 and a tailpipe. I figure the flowmaster was probably about $100 so maybe $200-250 for just the y to be made.

We've got a little shop with some young guys with tats, piercings and guages. They mess around building cages, lifts, cookers, etc.

I took my M880 by with pipes rotted back to the manifold , told them I needed the system tucked in up as high as possible and "farm rated".

                Excellent job & $150 :)

Yea but last time I talked to them the counter guy was less than helpful. I was picing the complete exhaust system. Their prices were good so I said how much shipping to my zip (shipping could be a lot for all those funky sized pipes...). He said I don't know. I said well whats your estimate. He said I don't know. I said so how can I find out? He said you buy 'em and I'll figure it. Not bought anything from them since. Shame too since they have a bunch of M880 parts...

I am having the same trouble getting a shipping quote from Saturn, When looking at NAPA on line their books only go back to 1980. I would think it would be the same pipe as on the 1980 but want to make sure....

                            Does anybody know the part number for a 1977 W-200 Y-Pipe ? ( 318 )

                            Is 40405 the correct pipe for a 1977 ?

                            Thanks,
