  • Exhaust Manifold

    Hi Guys,

    I have an exhaust leak on my 1977 M880 ( 318 )

It seems to be leaking out threw the rod for that valve on the right side manifold.

Is there a way to fix this ? do they make a kit to replace ( or maybe add bushings ) to the valve ?

    Thanks,

I've had success using JB Weld type products in the same situation, just the valve must be "fixed" in the open position.
Complete manifolds are available on ebay, or just remove yours and weld the hole with the valve in the open position.

Thanks for the reply, I have used this stuff before in other applications with good results but never thought of using it here because of the heat. but I will give it a try...

        Many thanks,
In time it will get brittle & crack out, but that may take months or years, depending on how clean you get the surface & how correct you get the mixture.
