  • Turn your chairs this way and have a listen....

You have taken this world by storm. Observe the thread count and post count on the main forum index page, then compare to the other forums. The second most vigorous group is the M37 forum. You have just passed them. This forum has not existed as long as the others, either.

I want to run articles on the '72-'93 trucks in the magazine. You are the biggest group, and you are made up of the most aggressive participants. You are the key to making that happen. I need you to share your expertise.

I tell you what I tell others. Do not hesitate because you feel you are not a writer. You have knowledge, expertise, and experience. You have accounts to share of your projects and what you have learned. All you need to do is tell me your story as you would tell someone else as you both sat on five gallon buckets in your shop, having Pepsi Colas next to your project truck.

I am the editor, so if your article needs some editing or reordering, I do that for you.

I have a request for the large number of enthusiasts of the 1972-1993 Dodge 4X4 trucks; sit down and write out your story. It can be about repairs, diagnosis, modifications, uses, restoration, or explanations of why you are so loyal and enthusiastic about these trucks. Share your story and the meaning of your experience.

    Published authors get subscription credit.

You may send the text of your story in the body of an email or as a Word document, whichever you prefer. Photos may be emailed.

See this link for more information: http://www.powerwagonadvertiser.com/submit.html

You may email photos, but they need to be high resolution. Always set your camera on best quality images; do not modify your images to make the file sizes smaller.

I might throw something into the hat. My main "project" is a 78 W200 club cab long bed. However Dodge didn't offer all the goodies that I like on any given model year. So over the years I have purchased donor trucks and switched parts heading towards a creation (still all Dodge with all factory parts) that I feel they should have offered in the first place. I like the 78 body the best, but I also liked divorced 205 t-cases, Braden LU-2 PTO winches, manual steering/brakes, a 440 engine & 435 gearbox. My truck came with NONE is this. Most of it wasn't even offered in 78.

So I have been adding these things myself over the years. I probably will never finish.

I too am somewhat partial to the truck in the current mgazine since I now own a 1991 D150 with that grille, I know it's not a power wagon, but I just haven't found one I want to buy yet (don't see many around here mostly Furds and Chitties)
Maybe I will be able to go to Iowa next June!
Picked upthe new truck last night and am pleased with it!
