If it were a 1/2 ton then it is a 9.25 rear axle. I've got 2, 91 dodges and both had that axle, though I have seen 3/4 ton 9.25 axles, but just mainly on 2 wd. The next step up would be to a dana 60 and 44 front for the 3/4 ton, so thats what you should have, a diesel would be either a 70 or 80 rear with a 60 front.

Reason: wrong answer
The last year the 360 had a carb on it was 1988, the 318 and the 6 cylinder went to EFI in 1988, the 360 in 1989.
If that 91 has a carb it must be an older engine
I have a 91 D150 with the 318 in it
DB69
I found an ad for a '91 w250 with a 360 2bbl on craigslist. Was a 360 2bbl offered in '91?
Also, should this year have a dana 60 rear and 44 front like the mid 80's trucks?
The '91 360 would be TBFI [throttle-body fuel injection] from the
factory. The standard 3/4 ton axles would be the 44 and 60. There
were 60 fronts too.....

I went to go check it out. It wasn't a 360 at all, it was an EFI 318 with a 9 1/4 rear and a 44 front.
I left there and went to see a guy in Raleigh who's ad said "85 Dodge 4x4 Royal SE, good tires" and had a grainy picture.
That turned out to be a 1986 3/4 ton 4x4 Power Ram with a 360 that runs like a sewing machine, power EVERYTHING and everything works! And it has brand new 31" Cooper A/T tires on Pacer wheels. For $1000, I bought it and drove it home.
