Hi Guys,

My transfer case wont stay in Low Lock OR High Lock, Any idea what causes this?

Regular Hi and Low work fine.

Possibly "lock" shift rod is not engaging fully or the detent ball/shift rail isn't holding.

Unless you have a nicer rig, easiest thing to do is remove the transmission hump/floorboard, then you can see how the linkage operates & possibly spot the problem.

like you hate it . that was some advice passed to me when my 77 M880 was misbehaving. I was treating the shift lever like it was glass.
