transfer case mounts

I'm wondering if anyone can help me out. I have a 74 W200 with the divorced np205 t-case. I had to have the t-case rebuilt and I want to put in new mounts/bushing. The problem is I can't find anyone who sells them. I found the original Dodge part number 2952371 which is called an insulator. Does anyone know where I could get them, or if I can use something else? Thanks for any info.

Is that the piece that someone fabricated from a hockey puck? A company that makes suspension parts (bushings & such) would know where to send you for what you need, if its available.

Yes, it does kind of look like a hockey puck. I've checked with a couple of places that specialize in body mounts, but they couldn't come up with anything. I thought that maybe a radius arm bushing off of a car might fit, but I don't know if that would work or which car I would need it from. Also there are four mounting points so I need a total of eight bushings.

I also have a divorced 205 in one of my trucks. I know exactly which pieces you are talking about. I think if you could identify what material they are made out of (polyurethane?), then "new" ones could be fabricated.

Radius arm bushing might be a great starting point. Don't forget to consider foreign vehicles when searching for radius arm bushings.

If worse came to worst, could rubber from tire sidewalls be made to work? I don't remember the hardness/flexibility of my bushings.

The mounts I took out are rubber, but they are so wore out that I'm not sure how thick the bushing should be. I'd like to use polyurethane so that I have a more solid mount, and I really don't want to have to ever change them again.

Did the same exact thing once upon a time but can't remember how.The mounts for the core support look real similar and are available from Energy Suspension in their D/W 100-300 Body mount kit.#0363936964

I got an Energy Suspension body mount kit and was able to use the mounts for the cab, just had to cut them to the right thickness. I got the t-case back in and eveything works great. Thanks for the help.

Super scout specialists sells t-case mounting bushings. IH used divorced NP 202 t-cases among others. They mount (hang) very similar to the NP 205 that Dodge used.

Now that we know about the insulators, where does a guy find a crossmember? I have a divorced 205 from a yard, but they destroyed the CM when they took it off the truck.

The divorced NP205 was used from 69-74. I think you need a CM from a 72-74 truck. I can't remember if it was riveted or bolted to the frame, but the frame rails do hafta be separated a bit to remove the CM.
