what tranny for 74 clubcab

I just picked up a 74 clubcab with a 4 speed and 318. I have a good 360 that I am thinking of putting in and want an automatic so my wife can drive it also. What 727 should I look for. It has a divorced 205 t-case right now. Thanks

I assume you want to keep the divorced t-case. If so then you need a small-block short tail shaft 727. I believe 70-74 4x4's had them. 2wd crew cabs from whenever til 85 also. They may have came in other trucks/cars, I just can't say for sure.

Others here may be interested in your 4-speed & all the clutch linkage/set-up.

you need a short tail "fixed" yoke 727 / you can get one out of any dodge truck with a divorced 205 / 67 to70 dodge A100 van
